The Player Date is an attempt to not only make C&C's handmade quality available to a wider audience, but also to recreate some of the performance and character of a vintage kit using modern manufacturing techniques.

The mahogany shells combined with the full contact bearing edges provide punch and warmth. Double-ended Radio King-style beavertail lugs are centrally mounted on all of the drums and provide minimal sonic interference. The toms have exceptional definition, warmth, depth of note with minimal overtones. The bass drum comes with a plain Ambassador resonant head along with an optional felt muffle strip. Without the muffle in place the drum is breathy and boomy. Applying the felt strip behind the front head brings the decay into focus, but it remains an incredibly resonant drum.

The Player Date provides an excellent build quality with incredibly resonant and defined tones while capturing the vintage look and vibe.

Developed in conjunction with Joey Waronker (Beck, Atoms for Peace), the Player Date I has a round, dark tone with body; an enhanced low end; and a clear, defined note. Its 7 Ply Mahogany shell has a wide tuning range and controlled decay. It comes standard with Full Contact bearing edges, 2.3mm triple flanged metal hoops, and our centered, double-ended Deco lug design. The Player Date I is perfect for the recording studio and any playing situation that requires musicality and warmth.
