This is a really interesting guitar! The name alone makes me giggle. WEW! But hey, you won't forget what it is and that's what it's all about. Gotta be different to compete in the boutique market, and this guitar is a prime example of how to take a classic formula and make it your own.

The WEW by Campbell American adds sustain and snap to the strat formula. These are welcome tonal features that inspire a new way of playing. I love how different guitars will inspire you in very different ways. This guitar guides me to a place where long-sustaining chords and searing lead lines thrive!

At first I wasn't sure about the pickup selector in the middle of the volume and tone knobs. But when you actually get down to playing and stop thinking about the arrangement, it's more convenient to have the selector in the middle so you don't accidentally hit into another position when you're "in the moment" on stage.

The WEW kind of looks like something The Ventures would play, but with the added plus of being a very well-built USA Made boutique guitar, and adding some seriously well-balanced and versatile blackface pickups by Lollar, really hits it out of the park!
