It's finally here! We've been waiting for this fingerstyle fantasy since...it was a fantasy! But this beautiful instrument couldn't be more of a real deal. Stunning looks, effortless playability, and, of course, a lively, dramatic voice that seems impossibly grand and far-reaching for such a relatively small instrument. We can't imagine a better instrument for JP's intricate, multi-part fingerstyle exertions but that's just one path of mastery this instrument can take with ease--if you've been looking for a medium size 12 fretter with a cutaway, this is it!
After 18 months brainstorming about what should be the ‘’JP Cormier’’ signature model, we finally concluded that it should be based on a 000-12FTB size guitar.
JP loves playing his 000-12FTB but also mentioned that it was difficult to reach upper frets.
It was the perfect opportunity to create a unique 000-12FTB featuring an extremely convenient cutaway. A guitar with deep low-mid range tone, typical of our 000s, with significantly improved access to upper frets.
In resume; OOO-12FTB CUTAWAY with East Indian rosewood back and sides, torrefied AAAA Adirondack top, custom slotted headstock design, abalone rosette, koa body bindings, ‘’B’’ inlayed at the 12th fret and a flamboyant new pickguard!
We are extremely proud to introduce this magnificient instrument in collaboration with JP. It’s really one of the most impressive guitars produced by Boucher Guitars to this day.
Boucher did not only create a Signature model; Boucher created a halo guitar at a very competitive price.
A few years back a wonderful man named Robin Boucher drove to Sound Pure studios all the way from Canada. In his back seat, nestled in lovely tweed cases, he had some of the finest acoustic guitars to ever cross our northern border. We became immediate friends and his work was mind-blowing. The clarity of the tone, the immaculate fit and finish, the effortless playability. To top it all off, Robin got his start as a WOOD DEALER. He happens to live in an Adirondack red spruce forest!
