Axis is always on top of their game! This pedal is no different. A wider footboard on a longboard pedal gives a larger range of motion and makes for heavier impact of the beater. The 21 degree, beater forward angle givesthe thump you need, not to mention all the comfort and ease of Axis pedals!
A21 LASER SINGLE PEDAL
[A21]
POWER, DIRECT RESPONSE AND ADJUSTABILITY
The A21 pedals have all the performance features of the Axis pedals with increased
magnitude. The A21 was designed to accelerate the beater into the bass drum with greater force and velocity, and to incorporate the Variable Drive Lever for greater adjustability.
The 21 degree power forward beater angle has been integrated into the beater bracket
maximizes the beater impact. The Variable Drive Lever settings farther forward produce a deeper footboard travel (more power), while settings aft ward result in increased speed.
For almost three decades, Axis Percussion have been manufacturing high-quality drum hardware made from aircraft-grade aluminum and steel. Their goal is to provide drummers with efficient and durable gear that will last them for years. Axis started as Engineered Percussion, the brainchild of drummer and machinist Darrell Johnston. After a few failed experiments, Darrell produced the first versions of the now-iconic Axis pedals around 1990. After rave reviews in Modern Drummer Magazine and at the 1991 NAMM show, Axis began to garner a reputation for their innovative and durable designs. Today, with an artist roster including names like Derek Roddy, George Kollias, and Alfred Berengena, Axis pedals are revered by drummers the world over who seek speed, precision, and dependability from their gear. All parts are machined at Axis’ facility in Carson, California, meaning that Axis products truly are American-made by a small team of dedicated machinists and engineers.
