The Austrian Audio OC-S10 is a reference-grade, multi-pattern large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed to sit firmly at the top of Austrian Audio’s studio mic line. Handcrafted in Vienna by former AKG engineers, the flagship OC-S10 builds upon the legacy of the legendary CK12 capsule with their handmade, dual-diaphragm CKR12 ceramic capsule. The result is a pristine, ultra-linear sonic signature that pairs un-colored transparency with fast transient response and ultra-low self-noise (8 dB SPL).
What makes the OC-S10 a true powerhouse is its dual-output design and integration with Austrian Audio’s software ecosystem. Tapping both the front and rear diaphragms simultaneously via two separate XLR outputs allows you to capture raw capsule data. Using plugins like PolarDesigner, you can re-voice the microphone's polar patterns, adjust proximity effect, or set different polar patterns for up to five distinct frequency bands after tracking is complete—giving you unprecedented flexibility in post-production.

With five selectable polar patterns, three low-cut filter options, and switchable -10dB and -20dB pads, the OC-S10 offers exceptional versatility to suit any recording scenario. In combination with the dual-output feature (both standard XLR) it provides maximum post-production flexibility, ensuring you can discover and craft your perfect sound.
The included shock mount features a ball-joint connection for precise and delicate positioning, making setup effortless. Additionally, the magnetically attached metal mesh filter (not shown) effectively reduces unwanted plosive sounds while preserving the full richness and detail of the vocal spectrum.

Refraction and no Reflection.
The supplied pop filter can be magnetically fixed to the shock mount in the optimal distance to the OC-S10. By using a frameless metal foam, a strong attenuation of pop and wind noise can be maintained with almost no impact on the frequency response.
Usual pop filter designs may introduce harsh comb filters through reflections. The refraction and dissipation in our porous metal material prevents plosives from reaching the OC-S10 without creating disturbing high frequency artifacts.
