The AudioScape G-Series Buss Compressor is a meticulously crafted, analog stereo VCA compressor designed to deliver the iconic “mix bus glue” associated with classic British console designs.
Built around a true quad-VCA topology and a fully discrete, true stereo sidechain, the G-Series Buss Compressor preserves the depth, width, and balance of a mix even under heavier compression. This design approach avoids the common pitfalls of summed sidechains, helping maintain a stable stereo image and a more natural, open sound when pushed.
Sonically, it offers the familiar combination of punch, cohesion, and clarity that has defined countless records. Whether used across a full mix, drum bus, or subgroup, it enhances transient control while adding a sense of density and “finished” polish to the material.
The control set follows the classic layout, with stepped ratio, attack, and release settings, along with threshold and make-up gain for precise, repeatable adjustments.
