From Audient
Hybrid Studio Connectivity
The Audient Horizon 16 is a 34-in / 34-out Thunderbolt 3 audio interface and converter designed for engineers integrating analog hardware or instruments into a hybrid mixing workflow. Its primary analog connectivity comprises 16 line inputs and 16 line outputs across four DB25 connectors, allowing compressors, EQs, summing equipment, and other outboard gear to remain connected to a macOS DAW from a single all-metal 1 RU rack unit.
32-Bit Conversion and Ultralow Latency
The Horizon 16 delivers 32-bit / 192 kHz conversion with a 133 dB dynamic range and selectable +18 dBu and +24 dBu reference levels. Its native Thunderbolt 3 architecture provides 0.99 ms round-trip latency at 192 kHz with a 64-sample buffer, allowing you to track through native plug-ins without any perceptible monitoring lag.
Dedicated Mixing and Monitoring Paths
Dedicated stereo mix-bus inputs provide a separate path for printing a master without sacrificing the primary line inputs, while dedicated stereo monitor outputs support independent reference listening. Advanced monitor controls include mono, polarity, dim, and reference-level functions. Horizon Control software supplies a virtual patch bay, custom monitoring, onboard comfort reverb, and extensive metering, from a single control panel.
Digital Expansion and Scalable Operation
Dual ADAT I/O provides 16 digital input and 16 digital output channels, while BNC wordclock input and output support system synchronization. Up to four Horizon units can be daisy-chained on a single driver, providing additional connectivity as your studio grows.
