Measurement microphones are judged on what they do not add. The Edge 360 is voiced for linearity across the full 20 Hz - 20 kHz audible band, with none of the presence peaks or low-end shaping found in vocal and instrument condensers. That neutrality is what makes readings trustworthy: peaks and dips in a trace can be attributed to the room, the enclosure or the crossover, rather than to the transducer capturing them.

Capture the whole sound field.

The omnidirectional pattern responds equally to sound arriving from any direction, which is exactly what reverberation and room-response measurements require. Reflections, modal build-up and decay tails are all captured with the same weighting as the direct signal, giving RT60, spectrogram and impulse-response measurements a complete picture of the acoustic space instead of a directional slice of it.

Stay clean when the system gets loud.

With a maximum SPL of 124 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 70 dB, the Edge 360 covers the working range between a quiet control room and a full-output PA system. Pink-noise sweeps, subwoofer alignment and large-venue tuning can be run at realistic levels without the capsule compressing or the preamp stage clipping, so a single microphone handles both ends of a calibration session.

The Edge 360 connects over a standard 3-pin gold-plated XLR and runs on the 48 V phantom power supplied by any modern interface, mixer or measurement front end. An output impedance below 300 Ω keeps the signal stable over long cable runs to the far side of a venue, and the microphone is compatible with the usual measurement software suites for RTA, transfer function and impulse-response analysis.
