Superlative in every way--this guitar exudes class and mastery.  Is there such a thing as drooling with reverence? Our luthier and I were doing a fair bit of that when this came in on consignment.  The fit and finish alone is unreal (look at that detail on the back of the neck just below the headstock!) but the tone and feel is near beyond description.  I don't recall any archtop that can produce such a sweet, articulate, glowing response acoustically--why aren't there more jazz boxes with Engelmann tops out there?!  But this guitar is far more than the sum of its fantastic parts--this is the product of the kind of skill, attention, and intelligence that might make you believe in magic.  

The Andersen Models 16, 17 and 18 are elegant in their simplicity. Crafted using less inlay and decoration than my premium instruments, I am able to build a guitar whose tone, playability, design, and materials are still first-class while being sensitive to the final price. Body, neck, f-holes and peghead are bound in Ivoroid. Also available with rosewood binding instead of Ivoroid.
