Anchor's Caravel series is an affordable option into the world of custom drums. The heart of this drum features a 7 ply maple shell. It has a very natural and resonant sound that really packs a punch when hit hard. The sleak strainer, the Beavertail lugs, and flanged hoops married together give this drum high end features and sound. The depth of the shell makes it easy to bring the tuning down and get a nice thud type of sound, but tuned it up high the sound has lots of attack and full bodied tone with warmth. The aged finish adds a nice finishing touch to round out the package.
