Handcrafted in the USA, the Allen Amplification Brown Sugar Head blends the finest elements of three iconic Fender eras into a versatile, boutique amplifier. Its circuit combines a smooth Brownface-era preamp and phase inverter with a Tweed-style cathode-biased Class AB output section and lush Blackface-era all-tube spring reverb featuring a dedicated Tone control. Rated at 15 watts with stock 6V6 power tubes, its flexible output stage can also accept 6L6 or EL34 tubes for extra headroom and grit. Hand-wired point-to-point on a G-10 glass epoxy board housed in an 18-gauge TIG-welded stainless steel chassis, it offers extensive tonal shaping via a Bright switch, Presence control, and a signature RAW knob that bypasses the tone stack for a raw midrange gain boost. Complete with an impedance selector switch and extension speaker jack, it delivers incredible bench-built reliability and timeless American tube character.
