Starting with a 3mm shell without reinforcing rings, the copper is carefully formed into the sound of legends. The shell is nearly three times the thickness of standard-issue metal drums and with that comes a tone like no other. The thicker shell wall delivers full-bodied shell notes with each rimshot while still allowing dynamic players the sensitivity for crispy ghost notes. The ten lug configuration combined with the True-Pitch 50 tension rods gives you the widest tuning range possible down to the granular level.

This snare drum weighs in at 16lbs so it's not for everyone, but if you are after a drum that needs to handle high volume situations with ease you may have found your new favorite drum
