This mid-priced professional drum line is designed as a high-quality but affordable alternative for the drummer who desires a real DW kit but can’t afford the pricey Collector’s series sets. The Performance series uses DW’s new HVX shell. These shells have plies that are oriented horizontally, vertically and in an X-shape. These drums also use a slightly smaller version of DW’s classic Turret lug. This smaller lug has less mass and which provides more resonance with less contact with the shells while not detracting from the finish. Speaking of finishes, the Performance line offers your choice of five gloss/oil finishes or four covered wraps.
