This microphone type has the same features as the CCM 4 S, but in addition emphasizes the frequency response in the 9 kHz region by 4 dB. This effects a further im provement of speech intelligibility, particularly in very reverberant venues such as churches
 

Applications

The CCM 40 is used primarily for sound reinforcement of speech. It is not particularly recommended for music recording.
