Mojave MA201 FET Microphone Demo -- Acoustic Guitar Video

The impressive Mojave MA201 FET records some impressive acoustic guitar. It has a full, rich, and balanced character that shined through on both a clean Millennia mic preamp, as well as a more colored tube preamp from Sebatron. The MA-201 from Mojave Audio doesn't have the harshness associated with many of the large diaphragm mics currently being built, and proves here to provide detail, without that brassy top end, and instead has a full, rich and well-balanced character. Sound Pure carries the full line of Mojave microphones in addition to owning and using them in our own high end professional recording studios, so please don't hesitate to send us any question that you might have about them.

Manufacturer's Description from Mojave Mics

The challenge? Create a transformerless microphone circuit without
the inherent problems found in transformerless microphones. Technical
Grammy® award winning microphone designer David Royer has
created a thoroughly modern microphone that rises to that challenge:
the new MA-50. Designed to produce the clarity and realism that
Mojave microphones are known for – at an entry level price – the MA-50
out performs well-known transformerless mics costing many times
more.

The MA-50 is the perfect microphone for pros and semi-pros alike.
Utilizing the same capsule as the MA-200 and MA-201fet, it handles
the fastest transients with ease – even up to 140 dB.

Mojave Audio

About Manufacturer

David Royer started Mojave Audio in 1985 in the garage of his house. The location was Fullerton, California, and Mojave Audio was a one-man, custom pro audio gear shop. David is best known for his ribbon microphone designs with Royer Labs, but he originally started out designing and building vacuum tube microphones, mic pre's and compressors for engineers in the Los Angeles area. Since the mid 1990's, Davidýs custom Mojave products have been used on a number of well-known recordings and have achieved legendary status among a small circle of high-end engineers. With the launching of Mojave Audio, we are able to bring David's non-ribbon designs to the world.
