This particular serial, adorned with Boucher's "Gold" and "Master Pack" appointments, has a big, bold voice sure to delight the most discerning of flat pickers and the rich harmonic complexity to sort out tender fingerstyle passages and vocal accompaniment as well! Robin Boucher's unbelievable craftmanship and world class attention to detail are on full display with this special Bluegrass Goose.
SP Luthier Notes: Neck Reset, Fret Dress, Setup
Our BG-152 is crafted and engineered to meet the very high requirements of bluegrass guitarists performing live or in the recording studio. Our guitars offer a large presence on stage due to the method of construction and choices of woods. The BG-152 is as “present” as all other bluegrass instruments whether you are strumming or soloing.
Robin Boucher personally selects Adirondack red spruce for the bracing and soundboard in order to give the instrument its special bluegrass sonority. Rich low ends, driving mids and beefy highs describe the sound spectrum of our Bluegrass Goose. This guitar is incredibly easy to play due to the elevated soundboard radius and the unique profile of the neck which will perfectly match the hand of the guitarist.
A few years back a wonderful man named Robin Boucher drove to Sound Pure studios all the way from Canada. In his back seat, nestled in lovely tweed cases, he had some of the finest acoustic guitars to ever cross our northern border. We became immediate friends and his work was mind-blowing. The clarity of the tone, the immaculate fit and finish, the effortless playability. To top it all off, Robin got his start as a WOOD DEALER. He happens to live in an Adirondack red spruce forest!
