What We Think

Yamaha's latest addition to their electronic percussion catalog makes it easier than ever for drummers to augment their acoustic drum sound with electronic effects and layers. The EAD10 ships with a sensor unit which houses a bass drum trigger and stereo microphone pair. Simply attach the unit to your bass drum, and you're ready to transform your acoustic setup into an acoustic/electric hybrid. The EAD10 module also features three additional inputs, including one for a dedicated snare trigger, allowing you to expand your hybrid sound with additional triggers.

The EAD10 is also compatible with Yamaha's free Rec'n'Share iOS app, which allows users to record video of their drum performances and instantly share them online.

With versatile recording, editing, and practice features, Yamaha's EAD10 is an affordable and flexible option for drummers looking to experiment with electronic/acoustic hybrids for the first time.
