Perfect as an all-round snare drum this model features a 12ply maple shell, a unique Amboina veneer with gloss finish, and gold-plated hoops. Producing a bright and full tone with a harmonic frequency, it also offers very clear attack and sensitive response due to the heavy maple shell and 13" diameter. Its dimensions and construction also give it more dynamic range, meaning you can play sensitively or full-out without the snare compromising your style of playing. Producing a full-bodied and balanced tone, this snare is versatile enough to use for a variety of styles, and can easily cut through any mix. The incredible Amboina/Burl veneer is finished in a high-gloss lacquer, accompanied by gold-plated 24 carat hardware. This offers a very high-end aesthetic, with its remarkable tone matching its classy look.

All SONOR lugs are equipped with the patented TuneSafe, which prevents the tension rods from loosening. Tune Safe supports maximum tuning stability even under extreme environments. Square-head tension rods with fine-pitch threads guarantee optimum tunability.
Dual Glide System:
The Dual Glide System snare strainer is a great feature of the Artist Series snares. This mechanism provides a precise and smooth action when placing the snare wires in “on” or “off” position, and ensures that there are no annoying buzzing sounds produced when doing so.
The strainer and butt sides are also both armed with a fast-release snare wire detach function. This means that you can easily change the resonant head without having to loosen and adjust the Snare wires. A very ergonomic feature indeed.
