The Catalina Maple drums bring Gretsch's trademark 30-degree bearing edge to a thin 7 ply maple shell. The edges are rounded rather than sharp, ensuring plenty of head contact. The Catalina line is one of the few drums that does not get the famous silver sealer interior but still has "that Gretsch sound." Catalina Maple’s have also gotten a facelift that resulted in some new mounting hardware which includes a round “gas cap” bass drum mount plate and an ultra-low profile GTS mounting system. With Gretsch's drum design and the tonal characteristic of maple, this kit delivers a full, warm sound with great attack and projection suitable for any musical style. Check out what the Gretsch Catalina Maple set can do for you.

For 135 years, the Gretsch Drum Company has produced classic American instruments that drummers the world over covet. The signature “great Gretsch sound” has been utilized by numerous classic and modern drummers alike; Max Roach, Tony Williams, Cindy Blackman, Taylor Hawkins, and Vinnie Colaiuta are just a few examples of master drummers that have sat behind Gretsch kits. Currently, Gretsch’s three lines of professional-grade drums (the Brooklyn, Broadkaster, and USA Custom) are built by a small team of dedicated craftsmen in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Gretsch also offers a number of affordable import lines that allow beginner and intermediate drummers to be a part of drum history and play behind a Gretsch set.
