What We Think
These have been tested by Genelec USA as well as Sound Pure, they look and sound brilliant. Incredible dimension, detail, and overall size. They also work with the Genelec SAM system (not included) so you can tune these to work perfectly in your room!
These used Genelec 8260's were in a small private studio and do not have many hours on them, however, they were imported by the studio owner, and as such are factory set up for 220v operation internally. We sent them to Genelec to make sure they functioned up to 100% like new, using the professional-grade external voltage converter, which is INCLUDED for FREE! This price is aggressive for these units, and only because of the misinterpretation that the voltage converter is a problem. With the voltage converter these beauties perform exactly as a 110v version would (which would have the converter internal as opposed to external). They cannot be changed to 110v internally once built, but do perform at 110v now, perfectly, with the included power supply voltage converter.
Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions about running these in your 110v environment – you are guaranteed (by Genelec USA) to have no issue. The sound-quality will blow you away. This is a GREAT opportunity to save some serious money on one of the best monitors on the market!
