Mahogany shells have come back in full swing allowing drummers to capture that warmth and sound of a lost era in drums. DW's foray into this shell offering ensures drummers that they will not only get a quality built drum, but they will also get the quality of sound as well. In the medium tuning range, this snare has plenty of body and bite. At the low end of the range, this drum has the fat and sag of a 70's era drum sound but with a modern polish. In the high tuning range, the drum offers great crack and projection without sacrificing the body.
