This clean boost reproduces the preamp stage of the Echoplex EP-3 tape delay unit. It is a small, durable pedal that can bring life to your clean sounds or push your rig into overdrive. For single coils, this pedal can fatten up your clean sound or boost the low-end. With humbuckers it provides a lovely sparkle and can accentuate high-end harmonics in a very musical way. There are two internal switches which control the bass boost and bright settings which allows for a wide range of tonal possibilities.

I always need to research and justify a pedal purchase. Price is a huge factor. Features, tone, and ease-of-use are also extremely important. This pedal is well-priced, sounds great, and could not be easier to use. When you're at a gig, you don't typically have a lot of time to mess around with settings on your pedals. It doesn't get any easier than one knob! And boy is it effective! "sparkle" is the only thing that comes to mind when I hear the complexity shine through my strat, tele or LP.
