Victoria is producing the best vintage re-creations and modified classics on the market.
This hand-wired tribute to the 57 to 61 era champs is one of the most popular amps Victoria makes. And for a good reason! Well priced and amazing vintage quality tone, minus the vintage price and unreliable functionality. It produces a full-bodied tone through the Eminance Legend 12" speaker and is slightly darker than the deluxe style amps for a real bluesy/classic rock vibe.
Plenty of volume for band practice, ideal for studio use and can even be used live in small venues or larger venues if you can put a mic in front of it.
You really have to hear this amp for yourself to understand how sweet it truly is. Be sure to call Sound Pure with any questions about this amazing boutique amp!
Eric Johnson once said "the best amp in the world has just one knob" - simple. One input for single coils, one input for hummies. A faithful recreation of Leo Fender's 5F1 circuit produced in '57 to '61 Champs - just with an Eminence Legend 12" speaker in a larger Deluxe style solid pine cabinet. This amp doesn't need reverb - there are so many harmonics and overtones happening that reverb would wreck it. Class A - simple, direct, all tube circuit. Tubes: 1 preamp, 1 output, and 1 rectifier. Just turn it on and go! Excellent volume for home and neighbors. For 5 watts it is LOUD. Use an extension cabinet or mike it for gigs. Very versatile depending on volume selected.
In 1993, I set out to faithfully recreate the crown jewels among the many classic amplifiers developed by Leo Fender. The tweed amps of the late 50's defined the sound of rock and blues on vinyl and on stage, but they had also become increasingly scarce, and well beyond the reach of most working musicians.
