This TAMA SLP Mple snare drum uses 13 layers of Maple to create an incredible sounding snare. The Maple gives this drum a warm and rich response. The thicker shell creates a focused and tighter sound while the flanged hoops allow the drum to breathe. The perfect snare for live or recording situations. The finishing touches are a Mappa Burl outer veneer and the visually striking black nickel hardware. With the S.L.P. G-Maple snare, you getting almost all of the upgrades of the Starclassic Maple at a budget friendly price.
The 6”x 14” G-Maple snare drum is built on the foundation of a thicker 11mm, 13ply Maple shell that gives it a bright sound, but with a surprising volume and sensitivity. Its 2.3mm flanged hoops and separate low-mass lugs enable the shell to resonate naturally, and enhance its punchy sound. The beautiful Mappa Burl outer ply gives it an impressive and attractive look.

Their patented Starcast Mount and Star Mount have continued to improve tone and aesthetics without sacrificing quality.
Their high-performance hardware has been one of the most trusted names for quality and durability since 1977 when they bought a portion of the Camco company. Today, the Iron Cobra and Speed Cobra lines have multiple options for players with a variety of needs.
