This Tama Starclassic Performer is part of a limited edition for 2017. The Stout Fade finish in this shell pack configuration is limited to a total of 10 snares. As with all Starclassic Performer sets, Tama uses a hybrid of Bubinga and Birch shells to make a drum sound, unlike anything you have heard before. The Bubinga interiors have a rich and resonant tone that is accentuated with the thin ply construction.  Part of the Starclassic recipe is the die-cast hoops which yield a crisper attack, clear and resonant highs and much more powerful rim shots.  All of this and more in an extremely attractive package and price.

For ten years, Tama's Starclassic Performer B/B has been earned the respect of many up-and-coming artists for the unique Bubinga/Birch hybrid shell sound and touring durability.  To commemorate the 10th year of making the Starclassic Performer B/B Series, Tama has released this specially limited-edition kit and matching snare drum featuring a beautifully figured maple outer ply.

To pay tribute to the anniversary, Tama applied exclusively designed figured exterior shell finishes. The vibrant contrast between its beautiful finishes and black nickel hardware reflects Tama's attention to details, both aesthetically and functionally.
