Softube & Tube-Tech: making modern classics
Our partnership with Tube-Tech goes back to 2006 when we began work on the definitive plug-in representations of the Danish company's best and most highly prized analog hardware units.
In 2018, we utilized our latest signal processing technology and released Mk II versions of CL 1B and Classic Channel. The super stunning high-resolution graphics and additional features made the best even better.
Never ones to rest on our laurels, we've also released the only officially licensed Tube-Tech SMC 2B Multiband Compressor plug-in, the new Tube-Tech Complete Collection 2, and additional updates to CL 1B Mk II.
Now, we bring you the quickest and easiest way to get the best of Softube and Tube-Tech with Tube-Tech Blue Tone.
Based on Tube-Tech SMC 2B
The Tube-Tech SMC 2B hardware is a staple of the world's most respected studios. We modeled every component and stage of this famed three-band stereo optical comp. The result is software that is indistinguishable from the hardware in our tests. Blue Tone gives you the authentic sound of Tube-Tech because we based it on our expertly modeled, officially licensed, and extremely popular Tube-Tech SMC 2B Multiband Compressor.
Eight magical modes
Blue Tone's eight unique modes let you quickly handle critical mix and bus tasks that range from the low-end EQ trick to classic vocal compression sounds, multiband widening, fattening up of tracks, and more. Just select a mode and dial the amount to get the sound the pros use in seconds.
Drawing on legendary equalization
We based Blue Tone's EQ section on the classic Tube-Tech equalizers PE 1C and ME 1B. Sought after by top-of-the-line studios through the decades, their sound enriches the textures of thousands of classic records in every genre imaginable.
