What We Think

In the ever-growing quest to design the perfect sound, Sabian has developed the XSR line of cymbals to accommodate yet another color in their growing palette of sounds. XSR picks up where the XS20 stopped. Revamped, the XSR line features thinner cymbals with a tighter lathing pattern resulting in a more consistent cymbal. Based and profiled from the popular X-plosion and Evolution cymbals, these cymbals come in at an attractive price with stellar looks. If you're ooking for a modern professional cymbal that doesn't break the bank, give the XSR line a listen.

Manufacturer's Description from Sabian

The 19″ XSR Monarch opens the door to a greater range of pitch in the Monarch family, with way more crashable options. Thin, with straight-ahead, focused sound, the Monarch delivers vintage look and feel, and fantastic crashability, at an unbelievable value. Like that amazing cymbal you found in a garage sale, you’ll consider this a huge score. Big & Ugly is a collection of unique Ride cymbals from SABIAN. They are big, dark, loose and dynamic – but most importantly, they are huge fun to play. Crafted from pure SABIAN B20 Bronze using trickle-down technology from award-winning Evolution and X-Plosion cymbals, XSR delivers unprecedented sound and performance at a price designed to fit your cymbal budget.

About Manufacturer

SABIAN was founded in 1981 when Robert Zildjian - one of the world's great names in cymbal making came to the conclusion that drummers needed a better choice of cymbals. Unsatisfied with the quality, the sound and the very relevance of the cymbals being manufactured at the time, he opened SABIAN in the small eastern Canadian village of Meductic, New Brunswick.

Since that time the SABIAN Vault has become a global center for cymbal and sound innovation. And that same SABIAN innovation has resulted in an unprecedented level of choice from the most diverse offering of cymbal design ever available. As a result, modern drummers and percussionists can choose from models that range from vintage to modern, from dark to bright, from traditional to downright eclectic.
