$875.00
Retail: $1,335.00
Few vintage drums have earned the esteem and respect quite like the Dyna-Sonic. Its build and sound were years ahead of its time. The latest addition to the Rogers Dyna-Sonic family is the B7 Brass Shell Dyna-Sonic snare drum, The heart of the drum is a 1.2mm brass shell designed to give you a full-bodied note. Where the Dyna-sonic stood out was the free floating rail system which allowed the snare wires to float on the head as opposed to being stretched and pressed against the head. The increased sensitivity is realized from the wet and loose tensions all the way to the dry and tight settings.
Some other familiar pieces are the Clock-face strainer and butt plate as well as the script badge that were staples in the golden era of Rogers. Currently, the Dyna-sonic is offered with Bread & Butter or Beavertail lugs for players who would like to match these drums to an existing set.
This is the drum that “couldn’t be built”. This is the drum that solved a problem that “couldn’t be solved”. Before Dyna-Sonic, you tightened the snares, and the snares choked the head. Dyna-Sonic changes all that. Because your snares ride on an exclusive floating snare frame. They ride with the snare head, never dampen it. There’s no choking. There’s never and snare slap.
THE VISION… AND A LEGACY that helped shape the modern drum industry. Since 1849, Rogers Drums rose from the first U.S. calfskin drum head manufacturer into one of the most innovative drum and percussion brands on the planet. Rogers hit its stride during modern history’s most transformative decade – the 1960s and this “Golden Era” of the brand brought new inventions, sound, and style to the world of drumming- that had never been imagined before. Today, Rogers returns- celebrating the vision, and the legacy of their Golden Era, and carrying forward the brand’s creed for percussion innovation into the 21st Century.
