Phoenix Audio DRS-EQ 500 Series on Resonator Guitar and Electric Guitar
Originally designed to replicate the strengths of inductor EQs, the Phoenix Audio DRS-EQ is an incredibly musical 4 band EQ with tremendous versatility. The DRS-EQ's smooth EQ curves combined with the venerable Phoenix Class A Output transformer make the DRS-EQ a perfect tool for bus work, tone shaping individual tracks, or for simply providing a pleasing layer of analog saturation to liven up a sterile in-the-box mix. In this video we used the DRS-EQ on a darker Resonator and electric guitar track to add some top-end clarity, cut some low-mid tubbiness, and provide some pleasing harmonic saturation for a more exciting and mix ready sound. Be sure and request the hi-res audio files by emailing us at proaudio@soundpure.com to hear all the subtle nuances of this fantastic equalizer.
