What We Think
This PDP Black Nickel over Steel snare drum delivers cut, definition, and plenty of tone. The 1mm steel shell speaks effortlessly regardless of the velocity. At the lower tuning, it delivers a low end bark with plenty of definition. At the higher tuning, this drum excels with plenty of snap and pop that you would expect from steel shells. The shell has been finished in a beautiful black nickel finish that looks fantastic and is complemented with chrome hardware. PDP has added the True-Pitch Tuning tension rods with more threads for finer tuning, and Remo heads so this drum will sound great right out of the box.

This 6x10 steel snare has a 1.0mm shell with 2.3mm, triple-flanged hoops and a dual beaded shell. A black-nickel finish creates a unique, modern look that's the perfect visual match for the sound of steel. To further enhance the exquisite look, the hoops and lugs are finished in a complementary chrome.
About Manufacturer
Pacific Drums and Percussion (or PDP for short) is a division company under Drum Workshop established in the year 2000 to provide high-quality drum equipment to those unable to afford the higher prestige and quality Drum Workshop equipment. Pacific Drums and Percussion also manufactures drum hardware and accessories. Their factory is located in Oxnard, California. The line still uses some custom techniques, but primarily uses computerized machinery to cut costs and reduce steps to create high-quality drums in large quantities.
