Ukulele wood needs moisture to play and look its best. Dry wood can warp, shrink and worse yet, crack! MusicNomad the leader in equipment care products, has developed an easy to use, no mess, and low maintenance Ukulele humidifier. The Humilele rests securely on top of the strings to safely and evenly hydrate your Ukulele to avoid these problems. The innovative Humid-i-Bar sponge holds a lot of water and has anti drip properties. This means less monitoring on your end while rest assured your fine Ukulele is being cared for.
Time to check the Humilele? Easy! Pop the top, touch the Humid-i-Bar; if it's wet leave it, if it's dry, it's time to rehydrate. Rehydrating is a cinch - remove the Humid-i-Bar sponge, soak it in distilled water and you're back in action. Easy, no mess and low maintenance. That's MusicNomad quality, raising the bar in the equipment care industry.
The Humilele, a soundhole humidifier for the ukulele is 2" x 2.5". The innovative Humid-I-Bar insert holds ten times its weight in water resulting in lasting longer with less maintenance. The Humilele has anti-drip properties engineered into it to eliminate soundhole damage. To use the Humilele simply wet the Humid-i-Bar, return it to the case, insert the Humilele between the strings so it hangs down into the sound hole of the ukulele safely releasing moisture. Maintenance of the Humilele is easy. Just flip the top and tap the insert. If it’s moist, leave it. If it’s dry, remove the Humid-i-bar and rehydrate it with distilled water, replace it and you’re set.
Low humidity can wreak havoc on ukuleles. Ukuleles may crack and distort, frets can pop, sound changes occur and more. Ukulele wood needs moisture to keep its shape and humidity levels below 40% are times to be concerned. Humidity is low during the summer in Nevada, Idaho, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. In the winter, low humidity is a concern throughout most of the country due to forced air heating and dry climate conditions.
