These Meinl snare cajons feature a fully adjustable internal set of snare wires that brush against the inside of the playing surface to deliver a crisp snare effect when playing. This can be very useful in achieving a musical sound that enhances bass notes and gives corner hits extra snap. Simply adjusting the amount of pressure the snares have on the front plate by turning the knob conveniently located on the side opens up the sound options and varies the sensitivity of the cajon. Slightly tighter snares are great for playing soft finger rolls with ultra-sensitive response. The Eucalyptus front plate and Birch Wood resonating body come together to develop a deep, resonating bass tone that provides slight punches behind soft notes and deep swells behind harder playing, responding much like a kick drum. This instrument is ideal for softer acoustic gigs when a full drum kit cannot be used. Its portability as well as its musicality make it easy for musicians to pick up and play without hassle.
Having a solid resonating body that responds well with the playing surface to deliver full, rich tones and a deep bass spectrum is what takes these instruments to a higher musical and creative level. The Woodcraft Series Cajons from MEINL are constructed from carefully selected wood combinations that will transform your beats into a musical production of their own. Made in Europe with an all Birch resonating body featuring Birch or Ovangkol frontplate versions, these cajons are ultra-responsive with two internal snare wires and adjustable top corners that enable you to experiment with a wide array of sound options. All MEINL Woodcraft Series Cajons have a beautiful matte finish and a hot-branded logo.
