The Gretsch Full Range Ash snare drum was designed to offer a new sonic possibility for budget-conscious players seeking new sonic possibilities. Gretsch utilizes a 10-ply Ash shell with 30-degree bearing edges that provides a brighter attack than Maple but with a slightly lower pitch and a controlled sustain. The shell is finished with a light satin finish allowing the beauty of the Ash shell to shine throw and is complemented with chrome hardware to round out the package.

Gretsch specifically developed the 10-ply Gretsch Formula Ash shell for a sharper, more aggressive sound characteristic but with a controlled sustain. We also offer these drums in 6.5x14 and 7x13 configurations to cover any situation. The visual aesthetic of the shell lets the true natural beauty of Ash show through, as no two drums look alike.
About Manufacturer
For 135 years, the Gretsch Drum Company has produced classic American instruments that drummers the world over covet. The signature “great Gretsch sound” has been utilized by numerous classic and modern drummers alike; Max Roach, Tony Williams, Cindy Blackman, Taylor Hawkins, and Vinnie Colaiuta are just a few examples of master drummers that have sat behind Gretsch kits. Currently, Gretsch’s three lines of professional-grade drums (the Brooklyn, Broadkaster, and USA Custom) are built by a small team of dedicated craftsmen in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Gretsch also offers a number of affordable import lines that allow beginner and intermediate drummers to be a part of drum history and play behind a Gretsch set.
