What We Think

MDV-2 has been discontinued! New version, the MDV-3 is out now! We can get this for you!

The expression pedal definitely helps for modulation on the fly!  This is a great improvement upon a classic Fulltone effect.  This true-bypass pedal let's your inner Jimi shine!

Manufacturer's Description from Fulltone

Real Estate is precious, especially on your pedalboard, but the lush organic sounds of a perfect "vintage Univibe clone" are a necessity, and they are now attainable in a space no bigger than a standard wah wah pedal.....the Mini-Deja'Vibe2, MDV-2 for short. Vintage Cream powder coated finish with Oxblood lettering and a  Blue LED that throbs to the beat of its asymmetrical rhythm.

ahh, the Fulltone Long travel Treadle, with our new Dual Pot gives access to all speeds from slowest to fastest, all with a perfect sweep and no abrupt speed changes.

A Dual-pot with the correct taper, value, & Gear to operate a "vintage Univibe Circuit" does not exist...so I make it.

use the supplied 9VDC supply, or power it with any Pedalboard power supply on the market. don't be put off by the "9 volts"... internally we jump the juice up to 18VOLTS  for proper original 1960's Univibe specs & sound

True to the original 1960's Univibe circuit 100%, including the most important parts, as only I (and the late great Bob Sweet) know...you gotta have the Photocells Custom made 'cause you cannot buy correct cells off the shelf.... they don't exist.

You all voted...I delivered "Heel Activated Relay True Bypass switching"

The Vintage Solution...with a True Bypass Twist: One of the cool things about a Vintage Univibe was that you turned it On simply by pushing forward on the treadle, which activated a momentary switch located in the heel of the foot controller....pretty nice because we usually use the slower speeds so there were no odd transition noises like you would get if you switched it on like a wah wah. Wah wah's (as you know) turn on with  a Toe activated switch, which would sound odd on a Univibe clone because that position is the fastest speed. The problem was (on an old Univibe) all it did was Turn On or Off the Light bulb on the PCB.....it wasn't  true Bypass and did not have a very transparent sound.

Our Proprietary Heel-Activated system works perfectly, sounds fabulous, operates smoothly, and "defaults" to Bypassed should your power supply fail or be disconnected....all ground covered ;)

Lastly, some have expressed concern about not having super-slow speeds being that "true bypass" is activated when the treadle is in full heel position...NOT TO WORRY, I found a way around the problem by increasing the "value" of the dual speed pot  from 100K to 150K and now there are slower speeds available than any other Univibe clone as well as the super fast speeds!

About Manufacturer

My name is Michael Fuller, I'm the founder, designer, and President of Fulltone Musical Products Inc.

2018 marks our 25th Anniversary, but I really started Fulltone around 1991 while working as a Session Guitarist, a Composer, Performer, and Electronic Tinkerer. People started calling me asking for my pedals after I was featured in Guitar Player Magazine for winning first place in their "Ultimate Guitarist Competition" competition.

Fulltone pedals were born out of a love for music, great gear, great tone, and a desire to make bullet-proof products. Early on I developed a love for fine vintage pedals and my frustration at the inconsistencies and the fragile nature of this old gear drove me to start Fulltone. Rich, Fat-sounding TONE TOOLS with a reliable build quality is the goal. All Fulltone effects carry a 5 year warranty and are built for (and by) musicians.

We use True Bypass switching or our exclusive "Enhanced Bypass TM" (OCD V2, WahFull) with L.E.D. status indicator in all our pedals. I designed and manufacture the Fulltone 3PDT , the world's only Super-Duty Triple Pole Double Throw footswitch. All of Fulltone's Pots and switches are designed by me and custom made for me because what everyone else uses is not good enough, in my opinion.
All Fulltone pedals are designed, hand-built & tested by us at our shop in Southern California using top-notch components.
