The DW Reverse Edge snare drum carries on the tradition of the Edge snare drum hybrid shell design but with a slight adjustment to the original recipe. Coming from the traditional DW Edge snare drum, which featured brass rings on top and bottom, DW has opted for wood rings on top and bottom and an aluminum core for the Reverse Edge snare drum instead of brass. The aluminum is finished in the Black Shadow coating which provides a beautiful contrast to the shell while also lightening the overall weight. The traditional Edge snare drums can weigh up to 23lbs where the Reverse Edge weighs in around 14lbs.
