The GCS-1 model has proven to be widely popular across several different genres, and it's easy to see why when you hear this guitar. The semi-hollow design gives the tone a fullness and breadth that translates seamlessly into any style of playing. The guitar's naturally warm and complex voice is pristine through a good clean amplifier like the Victoria Victorilette 1x12, while at the same time making your favorite stomp box or overdriven amplifier sound incredibly alive. This finish looks amazing on this guitar--the darker edges slowly reveals the intricate flame pattern as your eyes move toward the center of the body.
The GCS-1 is a solidly built semi-hollow guitar designed for musicians looking for a well-made practical and roadworthy musical instrument. Inherently versatile, it can produce a myriad of tonalities suitable for blues, rock, country, and jazz playing. It adorns a laminated flame Maple top with a laminated Sapele back, and the sides/internal block structure are routed from a solid wood core. This design yields a balanced and even articulation with enhanced sustain characteristics. Included is a TKL hard-shell case.
One of the finest archtop builders in the world, Bill Comins produces instruments of unsurpassed quality. His attention to every detail is immediately evident when you pick up and play one of his guitars. Bill brings the complete package: tone, looks, playability, and craftsmanship.
