Pure mastery. John Buscarino excels among peers and forefathers alike when it comes to bringing modern playability and versatility together with pure craftsmanship and, most importantly, tone. It's simply unreal how comfortable and downright encouraging it is to play this instrument. The neck alone has the uncanny trait of appealling to both solid body and traditional archtop players--fairly wide and flat but far from chunky or cumbersome. John's signature humbuckers along with the push/pull coil splitting feature allow for a wonderful range of colors for the player's palette, each as compelling as the last. The bass response, sustain, and natural reverb (truly!) alone are a revelation--even when you're not plugged in! Just make sure you're ready for some honesty when you pick up this Starlight--every little detail your left and right hands impart are front and center for all to hear! The starlight archtop is a 14″ hollowed out electric guitar that offers a big sound in a smaller size. By hollowing out the cavity this guitar has a decent amount of acoustic sound. Great for working out your arrangements or practicing when you don’t want to or can’t be plugged in hotels, apartments, late night practice sessions when the family is asleep or anywhere you can’t be plugged in you can still hear yourself play without amplification. Choice of sapele or honduras mahogany for the body, sitka spruce or flame maple for the top, one or two pickups, wooden or stop tailpiece, inlays or no inlays, pickguard or no pickguard, 6 or 7 strings; plenty of choices to tailor this guitar to suit your needs. The deadbolt neck joint of my own design gives superior strength and sustain of a neck thru body design with the convenience of a bolt on neck. The joint is a mortise and tenon with only 2 bolts instead of the standard 4 and the heel is contoured for ease of playability on the upper frets and genuine overall comfort. The f-holes give it that archtop look and feel and my signature pickups let you dial in whatever tone you need for whatever music you need to play.
