Learn how to mic an amplifier and get a fast guitar sound! This demo shows a simple quick and dirty way to set up ribbon mics on a pair of stereo amps. In a recent video we demonstrated the Moog Cluster Flux analog pedal, which is a stereo effect pedal. In order to achieve this sound, SoundPure's expert, Fletcher, shares a quick trick with a pair of 65 Amp Tupelos and a Moog Cluster Flux. This Tupelo 1x12 combo was the first amp from 65 Amps that we spent some time with at the shop. After exploring it's capabilities, it's clear that these are some of the best 60's inspired boutique amps on the market! We especially like the "bump" feature for thickening up your tone. The Tupelo can handle a good amount of clean and plenty of dirty volume for stage, studio and home use. When the volume is cranked and the Master Voltage is way down, you can achieve searing overdrive with just a touch of feedback that smooths out better than I've heard on similar amps.
The 6V6 power tubes in this amp provide subtle characteristics of american-voiced amps, however, 65 has managed to capture a mostly British tone with this amp design, which is both unique and useful! If you're looking for a little more focus on the mids and slightly less wattage, try the younger sibling to the Tupelo called Lil Elvis!

The Tupelo is a breakthrough amplifier rooted in some lost designs from the early '60s best designer, only based on a 6V6 power section. Its unique circuitry creates a platform that reveals the true character of the power tubes to a surprising level. The 6V6 power section colors the character of the front end to sound like outstanding examples of American circuitry from the late '50s through the mid-sixties while at the same time removing all the bad behaviors of those old amps.
The Tupelo is a must for players whose ears are tuned to American circuits and sounds. Equally comfortable in every music genre, the hot-rodded Tupelo is a super-versatile cousin to the 65amps Lil' Elvis with more power, an astonishing vocabulary, touch sensitivity and harmonic richness. It is loaded with 65amp's "Master Voltage" circuitry to make the Tupelo comfortable at any volume, from bedroom to coffee house to small clubs to the studio. The Tupelo also features a passive FX Loop, 2 speaker outs, 65amp's unique bias tremolo, and of course... rich tone for days!
