At AES 2011 we looked at CharterOak's MPA-1 microphone preamp - a solid-state, dual channel mic preamp that exhibits high audio quality. The MPA1 has transformerless input circuitry and transformer balanced output. With the input and output gain controls you can carefully control the signal from ultra clean and transparent to pleasant coloration added by the MPA-1's output stage and Cinemag output transformer. At the AES 2011 Convention in New York City on day two at the Javits Center, SoundPure checked out more new gear with Mike Deming at CharterOak's booth and Dave Derr's new Doc Derr at the Empirical Labs booth. Dave Derr ran several demos with his new Doc Derr. This little module can do it all. CharterOak Acoustic Devices showed their new preamp, the MPA-1, a solid state, dual channel microphone preamplifier. CharterOak also showed their prototype of the H1000A microphone. Keep an eye out for a video with more specific information on the H1000 microphone. Any Questions about the gear you saw here? Call SoundPure for more information.
