A Quick Q&A with Logan

When did you first start playing music?

I first started playing music when I was just shy of 10 years old. I was drawn to the guitar by Mr. Edward Van Halen. The Lawrence Welk show was also a catalyst for my interest in music!

Bands or projects now or in the past?

I was in a band with some friends when I was around 12 years old. It’s fun looking back on those days, getting to be on small stages and have fun like that. Of course, that blossomed into a desire to play out as I got older. As of right now, I play live guitar for my brothers group Biking with Francis. I’ve had some other gigs here and there too, but I’m not playing out as much as I’d like to be these days.

What gear is in your current rig?  

Lately, I’ve been using a Quad Cortex for my gigs along with a Roland VG-8ex for some synth style stuff. At home, I play straight into a Blues Deluxe. 

What’s on your wishlist (dream rig)? 

One day, I’d love to own a vintage Marshall. I also have my eye on getting a Roland JC120 one of these days!

Where are you from originally? 

Born and raised in Durham, NC!

What brought you to Sound Pure?

I discovered the listing on a job board. I have been wanting to blend music into my professional life for a while, and working here has allowed me to do so!

What’s your favorite musical genre?

This fluctuates constantly, but one that I will always love no matter what’s going on is ’80s rock.
