A Quick Q&A with Dan

Where are you from originally?

I was born in Ohio, went to high school in Indiana, and have been in the Triangle ever since.

When did you first start playing music?

After hearing the Ramones I got my first pawn shop guitar in ‘96. I played my first show at a punk house in the fall of ‘98.

Bands or projects, now or in the past?

My most noteworthy bands have been Flesh Wounds and The Future Kings of Nowhere. The current main squeeze is Meat & Three.

What gear is in your current rig?

I am most often equipped with a hardtail G&L Invader and a JCM 900.

What’s on your wishlist?

It would be nice to have a slightly fancier G&L and a completely fictional amp, the JCM 850. If it is not already clear, I like G&L’s and Marshalls.

What are your hobbies outside of music?

Sports and history are my top obsessions that aren’t music. Also the history of sports, music and history.

What’s a quirky or fun fact about you?

I have difficulty controlling the volume of my voice, creating equal opportunities for hilarity and humiliation.
