Oasis Humidifiers - My name is Dave Hepple, and I am the inventor of the Oasis Guitar Humidifier. Since the age of 13, I have played either a nylon stringed classical or flat top steel stringed guitar. For the past 14 years I have been an active volunteer with the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society, serving as President from 1999 to 2003 and now as treasurer. For eight years I booked the organization?s concert series. As a result, I met a number of outstanding guitarists and learned a great deal about very high quality guitars. I also became familiar with the problems of guitars cracking due to very low humidity during the winter. Many guitarists use ?in the sound hole? style humidifiers to fight the problem of dry air. I acquired several humidifiers of this type but found them difficult to use. There were a few key features that I felt were essential for this type of humidifier. First, it should have the ability to last a minimum of several weeks between refills. Second, the user should be able to see when the humidifier needs to be refilled. Third, installation and removal should be easy to accomplish in a short period of time. Finally, I concluded that using soft materials for the humidifier would reduce the chance of scratching the strings or denting the guitar surface in case the guitar was dropped accidentally. You will find all of these capabilities in the Oasis? Guitar Humidifier. Hand-crafted in America, Oasis? is the best solution to the challenge of guitar humidification. Whether you play a flat top steel string or a nylon string classical guitar, you have made a significant investment in a quality instrument. It is far less expensive to have an effective, easy to use guitar humidifier than it is to repair a cracked guitar. Give Oasis? a try, and you will see how well it works! Thanks for your interest.
