To be honest, I didn't think I would ever make much use of compression pedals.. Until I played the Xotic SP! WOW! If you're a tele player, you should have a compressor. That's a given. But taking this pedal to other types of guitars translates extremely well! I switch between a strat and tele for almost everything I play. I'm especially loving this pedal for funk and soul styles! The blend control is key. dialing in the amount of the effect is very helpful when going from one style to another. and between the 3-way toggle and the internal dip-switches, this little guy has way more versatility than what meets the eye! Competively priced, too! Hard to beat! I gave in. I bought one! had to. This is an essential pedal. Call or email me to talk about why

Unlike many popular compressors you may have used in the past, the SP allows for your guitar's natural tone to be enhanced, not covered up, by the effects of compression. I am very impressed by the transparency and musicality of this pedal, and I love its tiny footprint! My prediction is the SP will soon become one of the most popular compressor pedals in history!
