Experience the unique chime and shimmer of this Rickenbacker 330W, a semi-acoustic icon with an instantly recognizable voice. Its beautiful walnut body, paired with a neck of maple and walnut, provides a rich, resonant tone that sings with the iconic sparkle of its Hi-gain pickups. The 24 ¾-inch scale and 10-inch radius make for fast, fluid playability that’s utterly addictive. We’ve given this guitar precise luthier attention, ensuring it's not just a gorgeous investment with its classic "R" tailpiece, but a supremely playable instrument that's ready to rock! This is a truly spectacular guitar, with a tone and feel that absolutely does not suck!
A natural spin on a classic, the W Series brings the same full, rich and warm sound that have made 330’s popular since the 1960’s. The iconic design is now strengthened with the natural character of walnut and polished with an oil finish. Two single coil pickups on a full size body are accented by a traditionally shaped sound hole. The 21 fret Maple fingerboard is punctuated by dot inlay fret markers, with full double cutaways permitting access to all the frets. Standard output is monaural through a single jack plate.
The Rickenbacker International Corporation (RIC) grew out of the first company founded for the sole purpose of creating and manufacturing fully electric musical instruments and amplifiers-the Los Angeles-based Electro String Instrument Corporation. Founded in 1931 by Adolph Rickenbacker and George D. Beauchamp, this pioneering firm produced "Rickenbacker Electro Instruments", the first modern electric guitars. RIC's history now spans 88 years in business on the leading edge of music trends that have changed popular culture forever. Played by Hawaiian musicians of the 1930s to jazz bassists of the 1990s, by the Beatles and Byrds to the most-current rock groups on MTV, the ringing sound of Rickenbacker instruments has helped define music as we know it. Never resting on its laurels, RIC continues to ignite and propel the electric guitar's transformation of music by providing today's musicians with the finest instruments available.
