Late 80's Pearl MX maple shell drum set. The MX series is the predecessor of the original Masters series. Sizes are 8x12, 14x14, 16x20 and 5.5x14 snare finished in a Black Diamond Pearl wrap. Seams are tight and the chrome hardware is in good condition.

What We Think

This is late 1980's early 1990's made Pearl All Maple Shells kit. If you don't know anything about this series, it was replaced by the Masters line. Some variants were the MLX/MX series prior to Masters. MX stands for the wrapped version of the drum line and the MLX was a lacquer version. They sound phenomenal. The condition of the drums is good considering its age. Drums show normal wear on wraps, badges, rims, and lugs due to age. Bass drum hoops have shown the worst amount of wear and could stand to be painted. Otherwise, this a great player set ready to go to the gig.
