Mixing in Surround for Music Production: This class will be an extension of the previous surround sound class. In this class we will discuss mixing in surround for music production. We will look at 2 different scenarios, the first being a classical or jazz surround sound mix in which the direct sound is placed in the front and ambience in the rear. The second mix will be a popular music piece in which the listener will be placed at the center of the band. The class will look at setting up a surround session in Pro Tools, utilizing panning, reverb, delay, compression, and EQ for surround sound applications.
