What we think:

This pre-owned Lowden 0-35c SLE Fingerstyle guitar is a very special piece from George Lowden.  This guitar is number 41 of a limited run of 50 instruments. It is the predecessor to the Pierre Bensusan signature model.  Fans of Pierre and the new signature model will love this finely-crafted acoustic.

The cedar and rosewood combination along with the large "O" body size make for a huge sound. The bass frequency is present without getting "boomy" and the mids and highs sparkle with lush overtones that Lowden is famous for.

The previous owner of this Lowden had the L.R. Baggs M-1 pickup installed. This guitar is ready for stage and studio use. Even though this 0-35 is labeled as a fingerstyle guitar, I find that chords and single note runs with a pick sound absolutely outstanding as well. Versatility in a truly unique package!

At about 10 years old, this guitar has a broken-in feel and sound that acoustic players and listeners love. New Lowdens continue to go up in price and this is a real deal on a rare and beautiful 0-35c.

Description:

What can I say about the 35 series...The longer I go on, the more I love them for their ever so slightly understated beauty, their subtle use of figured and beautiful woods, and not to mention their superb tonal definition and separation.

The 35 is for the serious player who can appreciate a whole new world of subtle

tone colours and dynamic range.
