What we think:

The perfect instrument for solo, duo, or small group jazz gigs! The rich low end of the low B string really fills out the bottom frequency range without offsetting the overall balance of the instrument. Right away I was taken by the flame on the carved Maple back, it is one of the best we've seen on an Eastman archtop. The top is very unique as well and the wide grain is accentuated beautifully by the classic finish. I was also immediately struck by the rosewood headstock veneer, as it is boldly figured with streams of deep color.

Walking bass lines is never this much fun on a 6 string guitar! The low B string really does add a whole new dimension to capabilities of the guitar--especially in a solo setting. The guitar responds especially well to the low-end notes and it exhibits fantastic separation and clarity. The expanded range lends itself to exciting possibilities in chord voicings and the high level of playability makes this an exceptional choice for any 7-string jazz player!
