This is the first Collings Electric to arrive at Sound Pure! We are very pleased with how Collings has put their spin on a classic single-cut design! The pearl headstock and pickguard add serious flash with a vintage vibe. The doghair finish is unlike anything we've seen. White grain on black is stunning! And those TV Jones pickups provide some serious honk!
We especailly like the tummy cut and what looks to be a leg cutaway on the back bottom portion of the body. The fretwork is as smooth as can be and that round "C" shaped neck feels solid and is like a slightly rounder 59 LP carve.
Call Sound Pure today and we can talk about how this Collings 290 compares to similar guitars. This could be your new favorite!

You can't visit the Collings shop in the outskirts of Austin without traveling through the Texas hill country on Highway 290. Named after this highway, the 290 boasts amazing versatility in it's tonal spectrum...the 290 is a modern day tribute to the original working man's rock n' roll guitar.
