What we think:

The first thing I noticed upon checking out this beautiful hand-crafted guitar is the choice of woods and the funky yet functional shape.  Korina is like a "super mahogany" and the Koa top is an amazing 2-Tone compliment.  We also love the hand-wound pickups based on the mini-humbuckers, of which you don't see as often on these style guitars, making it truly unique. Top things off with a super smooth neck and fretwork to glide around on and you have a serious guitar to span many genres of music. You gotta play it to believe it!

There are many details to go over so don't hesitate to call or email Sound Pure with any questions about the Conner Model 504 Guitar!

Description:

The 504 was designed to be elegant, balanced, and versatile.  The chambered Korina body is lightweight and resonant.  The inlayed Koa top adds a striking visual contrast and helps to warm the tone.  The 504’s Mini-humbucking pickups are clear and articulate, making it equally at home playing jazz, rock and everything in between.

I have been building and repairing all types of instruments since 1996.  I learned my trade by apprenticeship, first at Hamer guitars and later for innovative west coast luthier, Ralph Novak.  In 2005 I formed Clay Conner Guitars to create and explore my own designs.  It is my goal to create instruments with an organic feel, an inviting aesthetic, excellent playablity, and inspiring tone. Each Conner guitar is carefully created by hand in my small shop in Raleigh, NC.
